Solar Farm and Renewable Energy Survey

Throughout our community the way we use energy is changing. Our national commitments to Net Zero have encouraged the development of new technologies such as floating offshore wind, and new investment into critical minerals have led to the new age of Cornish Mining, bringing future jobs and prosperity by reigniting an ancient Cornish industry.

Recently, Downing Renewable Developments have proposed to build a new solar farm near Mitchell. TheĀ Fair Park Solar Farm is expected to produce 49.9MW, enough to power 12,000 local homes annually.

I know that many of you will feel strongly about solar power, and in particular about the role of solar farms in our community. I encourage you all to take the time to complete my short survey and to make your voices heard about this proposal, and what you want to see happen as we transition to renewable power here in Cornwall.
