Truro and Falmouth Member of Parliament Cherilyn Mackrory has taken part in a #WalktoEndo to raise funds and awareness for Endometriosis UK.
The MP along joined Endo UK representative Kathryn Davidson and members of her team to walk 7.5km from Tresillian to Truro, representing the length of time it sadly takes, on average. To diagnose the condition.
Cherilyn said:
“I was absolutely delighted to take part in a #walkforendo at the weekend to help raise awareness of this devastating condition.”
“Since becoming MP for Truro and Falmouth in December endometriosis has been brought to my attention and it was good to meet with Kathryn in Parliament to hear about how it has impacted on her life.”
“We walked 7.5km through the beautiful Cornish countryside alongside the River Fal to represent the sad statistic that it takes on average 7.5 years to correctly diagnose endometriosis.”
“Thanks to all who take part or who donated, and I look forward to working in Parliament via the All Party Parliamentary Group for Endometriosis, which I have now joined, to help continue raising awareness in the future, as well as to bring the diagnosis time down.”
