Cherilyn Mackrory, Member of Parliament for Truro and Falmouth, has met with Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government Robert Jenrick MP to discuss infrastructure priorities in Truro and Falmouth.
Cherilyn said:
“In Parliament today I was pleased to take part in a roundtable discussion with the Secretary of State and other local MP colleagues.”
“We tackled issues around planning and local government as well as a robust discussion on the future Shared Prosperity Fund, which will be replacing the monies previously made available to Cornwall via the European Structural Funds. I am clear that the SPF will be able to be better targeted, fit for purpose and better value for money than its predecessor.”
“I also talked about my priorities for our Truro and Falmouth constituency, and was pleased that the Secretary of State listened and understood the need to deliver existing projects as soon as possible, as well as the need for further investment in our transport, education and health infrastructure.”
“I look forward to working with him and his team in the future to deliver on this investment for our area.”
