Cherilyn Mackrory, Member of Parliament for Truro and Falmouth, has met with the National Federation of Fishermen's Organisations (NFFO) in Parliament to discuss fishing and support for our coastal communities after Brexit.
The NFFO represent the fishing industry across the United Kingdom and are working together to provide a voice for fishermen and lead policy change for the benefit of their members and the wider UK fishing industry.
Cherilyn said:
“I was delighted to meet with the NFFO in Parliament to discuss how we can work together to revive coastal communities across the country and grow the UK’s role as a world leader in sustainable fisheries management.”
“As the wife of a fisherman who operates out of Falmouth, I have seen first-hand the challenges faced by the fishing community and am determined to use my position as Member of Parliament for Truro and Falmouth to ensure they get a fair deal and all the support they need through Brexit and beyond.”
“I look forward to continuing to work with the NFFO in the future for the good of our fishing communities both in Cornwall and across the country.”
