Truro and Falmouth Member of Parliament Cherilyn Mackrory has joined Keep Britain Tidy and Orinoco the womble in Parliament at event to launch Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean.
The Great British Spring Clean is Keep Britain’s Tidy’s annual national community litter pick event. It’s about demonstrating that you love where you live – whether that’s by ‘pledging to pick’ while you’re walking the dog or taking the kids to school, hosting a clean-up or joining someone else’s event.
Cherilyn said:
“From my days as a councillor I have always been an ardent champion of the need to love where you live and embed a culture of community litter-picking, encouraging everyone to get involved and do their bit to keep where we live tidy.”
“In previous years I have organised or taken part in community litter picks as part of the Great British Spring Clean along with local councillors, MPs and Keep Britain Tidy Litter Ambassadors, as well as Final Straw Cornwall.”
“I will be looking to do so again in our constituency this year, so watch this space for more details!”
